Executive Assistant to Head
- Working Hours: 07:45 - 16:30, Mon-Fri (All year round)
- Location: West London
- Salary: £42,500 - £45,000 per annum
I am recruiting for a dedicated and proactive Executive Assistant with a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The ideal candidate will have the ability to relate easily to a wide range of people, possess strong organizational skills, and be a self-starter with plenty of stamina. Flexibility, adaptability, and a clear understanding of what a school environment entails are essential.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to the Head, including maintaining the diary, arranging meetings, and managing correspondence.
- Assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead by overseeing and monitoring Safeguarding training of all staff.
- Take minutes at meetings, including the weekly Senior Management Team (SMT) meeting and daily Staff Briefings.
- Liaise with Heads of Year and assist with the organisation of Activities Week trips.
- Organise and oversee Head’s events, such as dinners and symposiums.
- Coordinate and host Parent-Teacher Interviews (PTIs) throughout the year.
- Receive visitors to the school and provide refreshments for the Head and guests.
- Undertake Safer Recruitment training and other training as required annually.
- Cover the monitoring of pupil attendance when necessary.
- Provide general office assistance and assist pupils as required.
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the Head.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably within a school or college.
- Proven experience supporting senior management.
- IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft 365 and Teams.
- Excellent minute-taking skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the ethos of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
