PA to the Bursar

We are seeking a professional PA to the Bursar to provide high-level administrative support one our client within a school . This role involves managing the Resources Office and Reception staff, ensuring efficient operation within the school environment. The successful candidate will be adept at handling confidential information and possess strong organisational skills.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and management support to the Bursar, utilising initiative and high standards of professionalism.
  • Manage the Bursar’s diary, travel arrangements, and prepare for meetings and events.
  • Coordinate and produce agendas, take minutes at key meetings, and maintain accurate records.
  • Handle communications with external stakeholders and manage the Bursar’s correspondence and emails.
  • Line manage the Receptionist and Resources Officer, including arranging cover and conducting appraisals.
  • Participate in and lead school projects, maintaining deadlines and improving processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience demonstrating similar capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience providing senior PA support, ideally within an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong minuting skills, especially for formal meetings with a financial focus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of maintaining professionalism at all levels.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills (at least 50 wpm).
  • Proven ability to effectively plan, organise, and prioritise tasks.
