Senior Assistant Company Secretary

Hyde is looking to recruit a Senior Assistant Company Secretary.

As a Senior Assistant Company Secretary at Hyde, you will be working within the Company Secretariat Team to assist the Company Secretary and provide corporate governance support, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. You will also be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely minute-taking of Board meetings, making this a key area of expertise for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Company Secretary in managing corporate governance, compliance, and statutory obligations.
  • Prepare, collate, and distribute meeting packs and other documentation for the Board and Committees.
  • Attend Board and Committee meetings, taking accurate and professional minutes.
  • Assist with filing statutory forms and ensuring compliance with the Companies Act and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain statutory registers and ensure timely filing of returns.
  • Provide guidance on corporate governance practices and regulations.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Part or fully qualified with the Chartered Governance Institute or holding a relevant legal qualification is desirable, but not essential if you have significant demonstrable experience.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a company secretariat function.
  • Extensive experience in minute-taking for Board and Committee meetings.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance within a regulated environment.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficient in using relevant IT systems, including minute-taking software and document management systems.
