The Firm

This Top 30 UK chartered accountancy firm, is known for its commercially astute, partner-led services tailored for SMEs, large corporates, non-profits, and high-net-worth individuals. The firm has 30 partners and around 300 staff, providing services in audit, taxation, private client services, VAT, and forensic accounting.

The Department

The VAT Department consists of a Manager, Senior, Trainee, and a Partner. They handle all VAT aspects, including VAT mitigation, negotiating with HMRC, partial exemption methods, VAT property law, EU/international transactions, and VAT return compliance.

The Role:

The VAT Manager or Assistant Manager will provide VAT advice on property transactions, charity liability, digital services taxation, and more. Responsibilities include managing VAT cases, conducting VAT reviews, technical writing, staff management, and assisting with litigation and business development.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years' VAT experience in an accountancy firm.
  • Ideally CTA qualified.
