Join a prestigious broadcasting client as a Records Management Specialist. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of Records/Document/Information management principles and practices. You will work closely with the Records Management Programme team and divisional records coordinators to support the remediation of critical records management gaps and provide technical expertise to shape strategic actions.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with the Records Management Programme team and divisional records coordinators.
  • Lead the remediation of critical records management gaps within the organisation.
  • Provide technical expertise and strategic actions to enhance records management practices.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and allocate resources effectively to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Implement and manage an effective records retention schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with UK laws and regulations governing data management and retention.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for records management initiatives.
  • Provide training and coaching to staff on records management practices and systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven understanding of Records/Document/Information management principles, practices, and standards.
  • Experience leading complex management programmes within large organisations.
  • Familiarity with records lifecycle management and relevant standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency with electronic records management systems (ERMS) and other relevant software.
  • In-depth understanding of data security and privacy issues.
  • Professional qualification in records management.
  • Excellent IT and digital skills, including strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
  • High level of confidentiality when processing sensitive data.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in a large records management programme/initiative.
  • Knowledge of Archives processes.
  • Understanding of records management in a media organisation.
