Employee Relations Specialist - Shape the Future of Employee Relations

50,000 - 55,000

Permanent, hybrid role

Are you ready to take your expertise in employee relations to the next level? We're seeking an enthusiastic Employee Relations Specialist to join an expanding ER team within a leading organisation in the Professional Services industry. You'll have the flexibility to combine remote work with office time, along with the opportunity for occasional travel between locations based on business needs.

What You'll Do

In this dynamic role, you'll be at the heart of supporting both HR teams and business leaders, offering practical, expert advice on employee relations and employment law. Your day-to-day will involve leading on a variety of cases, from managing complex performance issues and sickness or disability cases to overseeing disciplinary, grievance, and appeal processes. You'll play a key role in investigations, presenting recommendations that drive effective outcomes, and collaborating on business restructuring and redundancy projects.

You'll work closely with senior leaders, providing coaching and guidance to ensure employee relations matters are handled consistently and in line with company policies. Your input will be vital in shaping the direction of key HR projects, from policy reviews to the development of new initiatives that reflect best practices and stay ahead of employment law changes.

Alongside case management, you'll also have the opportunity to deliver training to partners, line managers, and HR Advisor teams, empowering them with the knowledge and tools to handle ER issues effectively. Your strong communication skills will be key as you translate complex policies into simple, actionable advice. In this role, your influence will help shape not just the employee experience, but also the broader culture within the business.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need to bring a deep understanding of employment relations, backed by solid experience working within HR policy frameworks. Your ability to manage a range of stakeholders is essential, as you'll be a trusted advisor to HR teams and senior leaders alike. We're looking for someone who can confidently navigate sensitive ER issues, offering practical solutions that balance legal risks with the needs of the business.

Communication is key-whether it's offering guidance, providing feedback, or leading training sessions, you should be able to explain complex topics in a straightforward, approachable manner. A proactive, collaborative mindset will help you succeed as you work across teams to create solutions that benefit the wider business. Experience working on international ER matters would be a plus, but is not required.
