The Finance Analyst will join a high performing and dynamic Finance team and have the responsibility of supporting with management accounting and business partnering for the Retail Department of the organisation. Further to this, the Finance Analyst will provide accounting, analytical and administrative support to the Commercial Retail Finance Manager, ensuring a high quality of support given to the commercial department.
Key Responsibilites:
- Production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts for allocated business areas including running of month end journal postings and processes.
- Effective business partnering demonstrating strong communication in ensuring financial processes are being followed by the business
- Cost variance analysis, tracking spend vs budget, and highlighting differences to business partners in a timely manner.
- Supporting capex reporting for allocated business areas, ensuring tracker is kept up to date with spend vs each project & capex process is correctly adhered to
- Supporting Headcount reporting, analysing any variances vs budget.
- Review monthly debtors report and ensure business partners are aware and have a plan for all outstanding debt.
- Input into monthly reporting packs where applicable
- Prepare budgets and 5 year plans in partnership with finance and management team, ensuring assumptions are properly challenged and best practice is followed
- Prepare in-year forecasts and annual re-forecast, monitoring variances where necessary
- Supporting the production of Business Cases for capital expenditure projects
- Ad-hoc project and administrative support and analysis, such as casual hours review or warehouse spend, helping to build detailed business analysis.
- Ad-hoc support through half year & year-end audit process.
- Ad-hoc support with VAT and tax reporting requirements e.g. Withholding Tax.
- Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations between core systems (GP, Retail), with the Financial Control team.
Key Requirements:
- Currently studying towards ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA qualification
- Experience working in a commercial environment
- Strong stakeholder management
