About:MRG is recruiting a Financial Analyst for a specialist debt and treasury advisory firm that operates within the social housing, infrastructure and regeneration sectors.

Accountabilities:Focussing on financial and treasury advisory to this organisations affordable housing clients, accountabilities include - Conduct in-depth analysis of business plans, financial data, and performance metricsPerform shadow credit rating analysis and present findings to clientsBuild and review financial models (including net present value and cash flow analysis)Draft treasury strategies, policies, and reportsProvide analytical support and project management throughout debt transactionsSupport Directors and Associate Directors in managing client relationshipsAssist with developing pitches and proposals for new business opportunitiesPrepare economic and market updates for client presentations and reportsParticipate in client meetings, delivering presentations and insightsStay informed on macroeconomic trends affecting the housing sector

Experiencec 1-2 years experienceUndergraduate degree in a relevant subject (Finance, Economics, or similar)Strong Excel modelling and analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build rapport quickly and manage long-standing relationshipsSelf-motivated and results-driven, with a focus on meeting deadlinesAbility to review and interpret financial accounts, loan agreements, and technical documentsBasic understanding of debt capital markets, banking, risk management, securities, and derivativesProfessional qualification (e.g. ACA, CFA) is desirable but not essential
