We’re thrilled to be partnering with an international luxury design studio in SW London to assist them in their search for a Junior Project Finance Analyst.
Since its inception, the studio has grown organically to over 130 employees and recently became a fully employee-owned organisation. This hybrid role is based in their stunning new offices (with mainline and District Line connections) 4 days a week, with 1 day working from home.
The role sits within a busy finance team of 14 and reports to the FP&A Manager. This opportunity will suit someone with a strong base understanding of accounting, but who sees themselves moving into a more commercial, project focussed role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and manage the timesheet application, ensuring smooth functionality.
- Review and amend staff timesheet postings weekly, following up on incomplete submissions.
- Conduct timesheet training, including inductions for new joiners and ongoing user support.
- Ensure timesheets align with contracts, raising concerns with the FP&A Manager and project managers.
- Maintain and update timesheet posting guides and ensure correct project tasks are open for posting.
- Prepare and distribute staff utilisation and project-related time reports monthly.
- Process contractor timesheets and invoices weekly, verifying accuracy and timely payment.
- Track contractor invoices, ensuring they are received and processed within deadlines.
- Raise and process sales invoices and credit notes per contractual agreements.
- Manage project credit control by chasing outstanding invoices and maintaining the invoicing schedule.
- Update project cash flow and contractual payment schedules when fees are received or adjusted.
- Prepare monthly project analysis reports, comparing actual vs. budgeted workdays and forecasting completion estimates.
- Set up new projects and customers in finance system, ensuring correct configurations.
- Collect supporting documents for sales invoices and generate ad hoc reports as needed.
- Liaise with project managers, supervisors, and finance teams to ensure accurate resource and financial planning.
CANDIDATE PROFILE / REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a similar or related role and have previously worked within a Finance team
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
- Ability to build relationships and work with differing levels of seniority
- Able to work effectively within a team and independently
- Good commercial awareness
- Flexible and adaptable to meet business needs
- Willingness to learn and take on responsibility
- Inquisitive and investigative mind-set
- Proactive and able to prioritise and manage workload
HOURS & BENEFITS
