Join our growing team in London as a highly motivated and experienced Risk and Valuations Specialist in the asset management industry. Take on the exciting opportunity to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with our investments in alternative asset classes. With over 7 years of experience in risk management and valuation, we are looking for someone who can make an immediate impact and contribute to our success.Responsibilities:Develop and implement risk management and valuation frameworks and policies for our alternative investment funds.Monitor and analyse portfolio risks, including market exposure, credit risk, concentration risk, operational risk, valuation risk, and liquidity risk.Execute the valuation assessment of a portfolio of complex illiquid investments held within our client funds.Liaise with our clients and their delegates to resolve valuation issues, ensuring excellent service delivery.Conduct in-depth client, industry, market, and competitor research.Prepare and present valuation analysis and reporting in a clear and concise manner.Requirements:Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management and valuation in asset management, advisory, accounting, banking, or similar roles.Direct experience with risk management and valuation assessment of private equity, direct debt, leveraged finance, distressed investments, infrastructure lending, and/or commercial real estate.Good knowledge of the regulatory framework of risk management and valuation, such as the FCA's LTAF.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Relevant professional qualification such as CFA, FRM, and/or CAIA.Competencies:- Teamwork: Build relationships and collaborate with teams to resolve challenges quickly.- Effective Communication: Engage with others in a warm and professional manner.- Planning and Organising: Organise and plan work effectively, ensuring timely delivery.- Analytical Skills: Analyse complex information to draw appropriate insights.- Strategic Focus: Think strategically and identify new approaches to enhance business impact.- Adaptability: Adapt to different situations and respond effectively to new opportunities.- Drive and Motivation: Stay motivated and focused on achieving goals.- Client-centric Focus: Understand client needs and provide excellent service.At our organisation, we are committed to attracting and retaining the best talent to deliver an unrivalled service to our clients.
