Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial support to the Finance team and integrated teams.
  • Looking at new business investment and pricing activity to win new business.
  • Support the establishment of the AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and five-year plan targets.
  • Assist the Program Execution Team with Quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) reporting.
  • Provide financial support for new business proposals, including pricing, foreign exchange management, and risk assessment.
  • Build a strong network with all Stakeholders.
  • Serve as the 'financial conscience' of the business, ensuring adherence to Business and Financial Policy.
  • Deliver financial insights to support the business risk & opportunities process.
  • Collaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis, Business Programme Finance, and Central Finance Services.
  • Working across various business areas supporting metrics such as bookings, sales, profit, and cash.
  • Champion best practices and improve systems and processes.
  • Support the Finance Manager with financial analysis for investment decisions and pricing.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA preferred or at final strategic level)
  • Commercial experience analytical skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Highly organised and self-motivated

Desirable:

  • Experience with Project Accounting
  • Proficiency in SAP, Cognos, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Security clearance, or willingness to obtain this
