This includes the creation of an already highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team as well as new ventures into various innovative solutions around the supply of Renewables including wind farms, electric vehicle charging, solar panel heating and battery storage. These innovative solutions provide opportunities for exceptionally highly talented individuals to contribute to the success of this transition where you will be working with some of the best people in the industry working on new and ground-breaking initiatives utilising the very latest technology.Trade Controls Analyst Energy - Europe & Environmental Products markets and trades natural gas and power across Europe and manages environmental products business globally. Counterparties include major resource holders of gas, upstream producers, investment banks, trading houses, utilities, power generators and large industrial and commercial gas and power users. The Trade Control (TC) team works closely with trading to ensure timely and accurate deal entry, mitigating financial and operational risk. This is a new team within and the TC Analyst will contribute to building the TC function, with support from IT and process developers, and eventually operating the processes necessary for ensuring T0 trade entry controls and for maintaining the trade data correctness.The position reports to the Regional Contracts Manager, Energy Europe & Environmental Products. The incumbent will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure a robust and efficient control framework and continuous support for the business Key accountabilities: • Ensure T0 completeness check for all trades (across exchanges, broker platforms and OTC direct contracts)• Manage static and reference data in ETRM • Produce meaningful KPIs to recognise pain points and to help allocate resources• Create scalable processes to enable business to grow in controlled manner • Work with IT to develop tools to enable automated and efficient ways of working• Manage relationship with exchanges and trading platforms Skills & Requirements: • Proven track record of performing time critical operations in a trading environment • 3-5 years' experience in Trade Control function • Fully fluent with gas, power, environmental products and/or other energy commodities • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Ability to identify risks, gaps and inefficiencies in processes, solve problems and implement improvements • Desire to build best in class Trade Control functionThis needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
