The Role:This role involves leading audit engagements within the hospitality portfolio, which includes hotels, restaurants, and pubs. The successful candidate will manage a team of auditors, oversee the audit process, and maintain strong client relationships within the hospitality industry. The candidate will also ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations while providing exceptional client service. The position will offer opportunities for career progression and leadership development within the firm.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:The candidate will hold a key management position in audit assignments, utilizing and further developing their knowledge and skills. This will include training, managing, and appraising staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Managing the statutory audit lifecycle from planning to completion

Attending and leading client meetings

Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the year

Building and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients

Providing general business advice to clients

Managing overall service delivery to clients

Handling client billing and ensuring job recoverability

Supervising and managing audit staff, including coaching and developing team members and overseeing their career progression

Participating in business development activities such as building relationships with target clients and involvement in pitch situations

Assisting in the general management of the audit department as required
The Candidate:The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, management experience, and the ability to handle multiple clients and deadlines. Specific requirements include:
Work-Based Competencies:

Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and international auditing standards

A working knowledge of tax
-
Experience in managing the audit process from planning to supervision and onsite reviews

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
-
Experience with CaseWare or similar accounts production software (preferred but not essential)
