The Audit Manager Opportunity

As Audit Manager, you'll report directly to the Audit Partner and take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors. Your role will involve managing audit assignments from planning through to completion, mentoring and developing a high-performing team, and ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction throughout.

Key Responsibilities* Lead and manage audit assignments across a broad client base, from planning to sign-off* Review work produced by your team to ensure compliance with audit and accounting standards* Manage, coach and develop audit staff - fostering a high-performance culture* Tailor audit programmes to suit each client's environment, risks, and control landscape* Monitor budgets, manage timelines and maintain effective communication throughout the audit process* Build strong client relationships and provide strategic insights beyond the numbers* Identify areas to add value and cross-sell advisory services* Participate in business development and help win new work* Work closely with the Partner on technical matters, risk management and audit strategy

About You* ACA or ACCA qualified with proven external audit experience* Currently operating at Audit Manager level (or an experienced Assistant Manager ready to step up)* Confident managing teams, overseeing multiple engagements and delivering high-quality work on time and on budget* Strong understanding of systems and risk-based auditing* Commercially minded with the ability to identify client needs and propose tailored solutions* Personable and credible - someone who builds trust quickly and thrives in client-facing roles* Strong communication and organisational skills* Tech-savvy - experience with tools like Caseware, Xero, Quickbooks, CCH, and Alphatax is advantageous
