One of my law firm clients are looking for a Client Accounting Services Manager to join their growing London based team. There are two individuals reporting into this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a small team of London-based accountants, reporting to the centralised accounting team in the Channel Islands.
- Meet diverse client accounting needs across UK and Channel Islands service lines, including Real Estate, Private Wealth, and Corporate Services.
- Manage a bank of clients, review financial statements, and handle line management duties, primarily focused on Real Estate clients and the VAT service line.
- Develop the London-based accountants and wider team, including recruitment, training, and sharing technical knowledge.
- Meet regularly with in-house teams to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and client-specific KPIs.
- Review financial statements, management accounts, and bookkeeping across various client types.
- Attend client meetings to provide technical accounting support.
- Participate in projects and team decisions at a senior level.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of client-specific accounting procedures and templates.
- Liaise with tax advisors and ensure compliance with UK tax, supporting the UK team with the VAT service offering.
- Liaise with external auditors.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Team Leader of the centralised accounting team.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAS, or other recognised qualification) with demonstrated post-qualification experience.
- Detailed knowledge of the local finance industry, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent working knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting standards, and audit approaches.
- Experience with VAT return preparation and submissions, and Real Estate accounting.
- Knowledge of financial reporting requirements for corporate, real estate, and private wealth clients.
- Familiarity with the UK tax reporting environment.
- Knowledge of Caseware is advantageous but not essential.
- Structured approach to planning, prioritisation, and control of work and team workload.
- Self-motivated, analytical thinker with a strong client service mentality.
- Proven diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
