We’re seeking an accountant who has a proven track-record in a client management or business development role for a varied portfolio of general accounting and tax clients. You’ll undoubtedly have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a results-driven with a track record of meeting and exceeding client expectations.

What are we looking for?

  • ACCA/ACA or CA qualifiedor QBE.
  • Significant supervisory experience including recruitment, appraisal and performance management as well as learning and development.
  • Oversight of the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, tax returns, payroll and VAT.
  • Demonstrable history of career progression in accountancy practice with knowledge and experience of cloud-based systems and strategy.
  • A proven record of accomplishment of developing new and profitable revenue streams.
  • Technically proficient in all areas of accountancy and audit.
  • An entrepreneurial, can-do attitude to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Purpose

  • Supervise a varied portfolio of clients in different sectors.
  • Assigning tasks to team members, reviewing accounts and supporting documents.
  • Addressing daily client inquiries, and actively participating in a management team focused on enhancing the efficiency and mentorship within the accounts department.
  • Manage budgeting and work in progress for the client portfolio, conduct weekly meetings and reporting sessions with Directors.
  • Ensure up to date knowledge of the latest accounting and tax developments.
  • Business development.
  • Showcase skills in and experience in accounting IT.
  • Provide general accounting and corporate tax compliance and advisory services.
  • VAT and personal tax submissions and advice.
  • Coaching and mentoring the junior team and leading by example.
  • Business development.
