Corporate Tax Senior Manager - Director (Financial Services)Top 30 Firm, London OfficeUp to £130,000!!!

You will be a key member of a growing team specialising on the provision of corporation tax compliance and advisory services to clients operating in the Financial Services sector. Your role will include supporting engagement partners and directors on complex tax advisory projects with clients, assisting the business tax team with tax technical queries and managing the compliance and advisory needs of a portfolio of large clients within a team working together to delivering these services.

You will need to be client facing, show willingness to work as a team, manage junior staff and have strong technical skills to advise clients. You may have specific tax technical expertise and experience either across one of our sectors or in an advisory area listed below.

The Financial Services sector is focused on servicing clients including hedge fund managers, private equity firms, currency solutions providers, wealth managers, financial advisors, corporate financiers and fintech firms. This is an exciting role in a growing sector within the business.

The Role includes the following:

  • Corporate restructuring and demergers
  • International matters
  • Venture capital tax reliefs
  • Tax sections due diligence reports
  • Reporting fund status work
  • Managing a portfolio of large corporate clients including both standalone clients and groups within our Financial Services sector.
  • Review of corporate tax compliance
  • Tax advisory work arising on this portfolio
  • Liaising and assisting engagement partners
  • Identifying tax efficient opportunities for clients and liaising with partners on implementing those opportunities
  • Responsible for managing billing and work in progress
  • Assisting partners and the business tax team on tax technical queries
  • Opportunities to get involved in the firm's sector-based business development activities
  • Opportunity to assist with team responsibilities in corporate team including line management and assisting in development, training and the appraisal process
  • Providing expertise advisory work in particular areas such as reporting fund status, permanent establishment queries
  • Complex structuring advisory work for new funds and or fintech businesses

Work-Based Competencies:

  • Specialist expertise within the Financial Services sector
  • Experience working with hedge funds clients, as well as Private Equity/Venture Capital exposure
  • Has previously managed a client portfolio including groups;
  • Ideally be CTA/ACA qualified;
  • Good Microsoft skills, outlook, excel, word;
  • Alpha tax knowledge preferred.
