Our client is a key Financial Market Infrastucture for all the core FS businesses in the City. They are seeking a Director of Operational Risk Management to join their team in London. This is a 2nd Line role, requiring ample experience across Operational Risk Management and Enterprise Risk Management. The successful candidate will have the chance to make a positive difference by supporting the wider Operational Risk team and managing risk most effectively across the full FX lifecycle.
What you'll do:
As a Director of Operational Risk Management, your primary role will be focused on supporting the Operational Risk team from a 2LOD operational risk perspective. You will be responsible for coverage of various business units including Operations, Product, Resilience, Workplace Services, Enterprise Data Management, and Human Resources. Your expertise in Operations-related and/or data-related subjects will be crucial in driving improvements and facilitating implementation of the operational risk framework. You will also play a key role in instilling a good Risk Culture among stakeholders.
- Support refinements of ORM and ERM framework by educating and engaging with stakeholders
- Provide 2nd Line of Defense review across the CLS Risk Taxonomy
- Work with business partners to facilitate completion of business risk-self assessments
- Perform root cause analyses on identified risk events
- Analyze and identify trends in key risk indicators
- Actively participate in relevant governance fora as required
- Manage stakeholders at all levels of the corporation
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Director of Operational Risk Management position will bring a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience along with strong judgement and decision-making abilities. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to influence others and work effectively within a team. Your background as a subject-matter-expert (SME) in Operations-related and/or data-related subjects will be invaluable in this role. Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio, RSA Archer, Reporting Platform including PowerBI or Tableau is essential.
