An established and fast-growing insurance business is looking to appoint a Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to come into a newly created role in a broad, influential position.
This individual will assume responsibility for the operation of all finance functions within the business, working with internal and external stakeholders including the Operations Manager and CEO in order to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:
- Overseeing the day-to-day management of all finance functions relevant to an MGA.
- Completing statutory accounts
- Responsibility for external annual audits.
- Liaising with Group Tax and external tax consultants on corporation tax returns
- Authorising insurance related payments
- Liaising with Senior Finance team of parent company.
- Partnering with Underwriting managers and underwriting teams.
In order to succeed in the role:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc) with 10+ years of experience
- Technical accounting experience in an MGA environment
- Analytical, critical thinker with a problem-solving attitude
