We are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects of our organisation and its associated companies. This role involves managing financial transactions, reporting, and providing business partnering services. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and adhering to our company values through every interaction.

This is a 9-month fixed term contract, with potential to become a permanent role in future. This role offers hybrid working, 2 days per week required in the office. 

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide finance business partnering and training for budget holders, assisting them in managing their budgets effectively.
  • Produce budgets, forecasts, management accounts, and financial commentary for reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, Finance Committee, and Boards.
  • Review departmental results, ensure balance sheets are fully reconciled monthly, and maintain effective credit control processes.
  • Manage monthly payroll processing in conjunction with HR and oversee the administration of employee benefits.
  • Oversee the annual subscription cycle and direct debit processes, ensuring efficient revenue collection.
  • Support and monitor commercial activities through the development of regular reporting, KPIs, and business partnering.
  • Manage and oversee the payment of claims in the event of member failure, including reconciliation of each claim.
  • Provide financial analysis for new business projects or business cases.
  • Ensure excellent customer service to all stakeholders, providing clear, jargon-free financial information and guidance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Newly qualified or up to 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent hands-on technical experience and good commercial awareness.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate Excel skills with a desire to develop data management skills.
  • Understanding of finance systems and an interest in using technology to solve problems.
  • People management skills, with experience in line management of 1-2 team members.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and a team player willing to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
