My client are seeking an experience Finance Manager with experience with Work in Progress (WIP) to join their team initially on a FTC (Maternity Cover).

Duties include:

Financial Reporting:

  • Manage the monthly management accounts process, resulting in the issue of monthly management accounts
  • Prepare and review flash numbers, providing timely and accurate financial data for decision-making.
  • Manage the year end process and accounts including the external audit
  • Prepare anyad hoc reports as required
  • Prepare information for client tenders as required

Cash Flow Management:

  • Oversee and manage the group's cash flow to ensure financial stability and adequate liquidity.

Month End

  • Prepare and manage Project Work in Progress, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of ongoing projects.
  • Manage cross charges and perform group reconciliations, ensuring that intercompany accounts are balanced, and discrepancies are resolved.
  • Ensure all month end reporting is completed on time and time and accurately
  • Oversee the processing and allocation of monthly management charges, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time.

Team Management

  • Lead and supervise the finance team, ensuring that all members perform their roles effectively and efficiently.
  • Team currently consists of a Finance Assistant and a Finance Apprentice

Day to Day Operations

  • Ensure all payments are made on time to suppliers, HRMC, employees
  • Ensure Clients are billed promptly and pay on time, escalating internally when required
  • Ensure compliance with company policies
  • Ensure all statutory returns are file on time.
  • Manage all tax including VAT, corporation tax and CIS

  • Sage 50
  • Xero
  • Scorro
  • Pleo
  • Various banking apps
