Robertson Bell is partnering with this well-known housing association whilst they recruit to a permanent Financial Planning Manager role. This position will spearhead the development and refinement of medium and long-term financial plans and will play a crucial part in shaping the strategic financial direction, ensuring alignment with a 30-year business strategy and adapting to evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of thorough medium and long-term financial plans, in line with the strategic business plan.
  • Update long-term financial models to reflect changes in economic conditions, business strategies, and market trends.
  • Provide intuitive analysis to senior leadership, contributing to informed, strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate across departments to integrate long-term financial plans with operational and strategic objectives.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and stress testing of financial scenarios using advanced modelling techniques.
  • Identify and analyse potential risks and opportunities related to long-term financial strategies and operational projects.
  • Maintain accurate data, managing large and complex data sets using Excel and in-house systems.
  • Drive continuous performance improvements across the finance function.
  • Manage and mentor a Finance Analyst, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

This Financial Planning Manager role will be based at the organisations head office in central London office and will benefit from hybrid working arrangements. Please note previous housing association experience is desirable but in no means essential. This organisation offers a comprehensive employee benefits package including a maximum combined pension contribution of up to 19%.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • CCAB recognised accounting qualification.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and working with financial planning systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex data, develop solutions, and make well-reasoned decisions.
