Altum Consulting are pleased to be partnered with a global media & entertainment business to source a new FP&A Manager into the UK&I commercial finance function. As an FP&A Manager, you will lead on UK & I territory financial planning & analysis reporting and forecasting processes. The position will work closely with the Head of Commercial Finance and Director of Finance to deliver presentations and reports, which will add insight into territory performance and to help drive management decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driven by a detailed knowledge and understanding of the business plan and operations, deliver routine reporting and insightful analysis on business performance against the 3-year business plan, budget and routine forecasts evaluating variances from plan, risks and opportunities and recommending appropriate action.
  • Identify business trends and conduct further analysis to improve the understanding of factors behind the changes/trends occurring, providing insights, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Monitor competitor published data and mine internal sources to gain relevant insights and inform internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including variance analysis, to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and execute strategic financial plans.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish realistic budgets.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop rolling forecasts to provide timely updates on financial performance.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand their needs and provide value-added financial support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Provide financial guidance and support for strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
  • Qualified CIMA / ACA / ACCA
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
  • Proven track record of improving financial performance and planning and reporting processes
  • Proven ability in creating and presenting business presentations, reports and general communication packs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
