Group Finance Director
Robert Half are working with a software business that is rapidly expanding through acquisitions to recruit a strategically focused Group Finance Director to support further growth.
The RoleReporting the Group CFO, you will play a critical role in the growth of the portfolio of businesses you manage/oversee. You will lead by example, providing strategic direction, operational leadership, and motivation to acquired businesses and their teams. This role emphasises achieving measurable results, fostering a culture of excellence, and contributing to future M&A initiatives.
Key Duties:
Strategic Leadership* Provide vision, direction, and coaching to businesses within the portfolio, driving growth and operational excellence.* Mentor Business Unit Leaders, encouraging collaboration and the sharing of best practices across the group.
Operational Oversight* Act as a change agent for acquired businesses, implementing global best practices to optimize value.* Lead and actively engage in Senior Management Team meetings across portfolio businesses.* Oversee weekly and quarterly financial and strategic reporting activities.* Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance productivity through Business Unit Leaders.
M&A Integration* Serve as the lead integration manager for acquisitions, overseeing both commercial and back-office aspects.* Identify potential acquisition opportunities to expand the portfolio.* Cultivate and sustain external business relationships to support M&A activities.
Your Profile* Previous experience of managing multiple businesses or a portfolio of companies * Strong M&A experience including meeting clients, running process, due diligence, integrating etc. * Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent * Strong financial and operational leadership background
