Head of Finance | High-Growth FMCG Scale-Up | London/Remote
We're delighted to be working with a rapidly growing, award-winning FMCG start-up on the search for an ambitious and commercially astute Head of Finance to lead their financial strategy during an incredibly exciting phase of growth.
This vibrant, purpose-led company has quickly established itself as a standout innovator within the food & beverage industry, rapidly expanding distribution across major UK retailers and building a passionate community around their product. With sustainability at their core, they've already gained significant market recognition, achieved substantial year-on-year growth, and positioned themselves perfectly for further international expansion.
The Role:
As Head of Finance, you'll have the chance to shape the financial future of a fast-moving, entrepreneurial brand. Reporting directly to the leadership team, you'll have end-to-end responsibility for financial planning, analysis, strategy, operations, and compliance. You'll provide critical insight to drive informed decision-making across the business, collaborating closely with every department to fuel continued growth.
This role offers the unique chance to step into a position of significant influence, guiding the financial performance and strategic direction of the business as they expand into new markets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting aligned with ambitious growth objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team, providing actionable insights to drive profitability and sustainable expansion.
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team, embedding robust processes and nurturing professional growth.
- Full ownership of P&L management, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheet oversight, presenting the figures at board meetings.
- Develop dynamic financial models to support decision-making, scenario planning, margin optimization, and business scalability.
- Manage all financial operations, including payment processing, international banking, invoice management, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure the business maintains strong liquidity and effective cash management practices.
- Enhance financial systems and controls to support rapid global expansion.
- Provide commercial analysis and support to drive profitability and cost efficiencies.
- Influence product strategy, pricing, and supply chain decisions through insightful financial input.
What we need to see:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA / ICAS Qualified (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience leading finance within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of international finance, tax compliance.
- Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
What we would like to see:
- Experience bringing finance in house from previously outsourced accounting.
- Experience within EU markets / experience with FMCG or Grocery
- Experience within a Private Equity (PE) or Venture Capital (VC) backed start-up or scaleup
Salary: £90.000-110,000 + share options
Notice period: 3 months maximum
