IN2 Consult are supporting a fantastic Real Estate business based in London on their recruitment of a Head of Group Reporting to head up a sizeable team, based in their established finance team.

This critical role will be responsible for leading the group's financial reporting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy firm background, with extensive experience in group financial reporting, consolidations, and technical accounting within the real estate sector.

This Head of Group Reporting role will include the following duties:

  • Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across the group, including statutory accounts and management reporting.
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting processes, implementing best practices and automation where possible.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures.
  • Work closely with auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes and addressing key audit matters.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls to ensure financial integrity and compliance.
  • Support senior leadership with financial insights, ensuring clarity in financial performance and forecasts.
  • Lead and develop the group reporting team, fostering a high-performance culture.

The ideal candidate for this Head of Group Reporting will have the following experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent), Big 4 / Top 10 trained.
  • Proven experience in a senior financial reporting role within a real estate or asset-heavy business.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Experience in group consolidations, multi-entity structures, and complex financial transactions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
