Interim Accounting Manager

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for your next challenge? Our client, a highly regarded professional services business, is seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with internal policies, and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with the global finance team and overseas offices, ensuring accurate and compliant accounting for intercompany transactions.
  • Oversee and review financial calculations, including allocations and balance reconciliations, as part of the firm's monthly management accounts.
  • Maintain and manage forward financial projections for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
  • Calculate and monitor provisions for future financial commitments, ensuring accuracy in annual reporting.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts in line with company policies and financial best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of foreign currency accounting processes, including inter-office and inter-entity transactions.
  • Support the preparation of annual consolidated reports and statutory financial statements.
  • Coordinate the year-end audit process, ensuring smooth collaboration with auditors and the production of required documentation.
  • Oversee global benefit policy allocations, ensuring accurate cost distribution across relevant financial accounts.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including system enhancements and process optimization.
  • Provide support and coverage for other areas of the finance team during peak periods.

About You:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in financial accounting, reporting, and compliance within a global or multi-entity business.
  • Excellent knowledge of general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Familiarity with foreign currency accounting and intercompany transactions is highly desirable.
  • Experience in financial statement preparation and audit coordination.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and international teams.
