Our client, a leading commercial real estate company, is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team in London. This role offers the opportunity to take primary responsibility for much of the Group's internal and external financial reporting. The successful streamlining financial processes, and driving the company's annual plan process. This is an 8-month contract position, perfect for those looking for a challenging yet rewarding role.
What you'll do:
As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading the quarterly financial management reporting process, overseeing the annual financial statements preparation process, and managing the annual external audit programme. You will also handle cash reporting, ensure compliance reporting on third party financing, liaise with external tax advisers on compliance matters, and review VAT returns for all companies. Your role will also involve reviewing balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations, managing arrears reporting, and being responsible for consolidated financials which support the company's Annual Plan process.
- Lead the quarterly financial management reporting process
- Oversee the annual financial statements preparation process
- Manage the annual external audit programme; act as principal contact for external auditors
- Handle cash reporting, including liquidity forecasts
- Ensure compliance reporting on third party financing
- Liaise with external tax advisers on compliance and reporting matters
- Review VAT returns for all companies
- Conduct review of balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
- Manage arrears reporting
- Responsible for consolidated financials which support the company's Annual Plan process
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager role is a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with over 7 years of post-qualified experience. You are proficient in Office 365 skills, particularly Excel, and confident in using IT systems. Experience in the UK real estate sector and knowledge of JD Edwards finance system would be advantageous. As a strong communicator, you are confident in your ability to interact with all levels of staff within the business and external providers.
