Intro

Cedar is currently partnered with a global, PE backed Leisure business to secure an Interim Group FP&A Director based in Central London. The role is a 6-month initial contract, paying an outside IR35 day rate of between £800 to £900.

The business is going through a massive digital transformation programme and wants to bring in a strong FP&A leader to help drive analytical performance internally, to match their global advancements and innovation, leading from their London office.

The Role

FP&A Transformation Leadership

  1. Lead the design and implementation of a best-in-class FP&A framework, establishing group-wide financial planning and analysis processes.
  2. Standardize and automate financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting to drive data-driven decision-making across the group.
  3. Develop scalable financial models for improved cash flow forecasting and scenario analysis, aligning with strategic objectives.
  4. Implement KPIs to measure business and financial performance, ensuring metrics are actionable and embedded across all brands.

Strategic Financial Transformation

  1. Integrate FP&A goals with broader business strategies.
  2. Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth by redesigning financial and operational processes.
  3. Provide senior leadership with actionable insights on cost drivers, risks, and value creation opportunities.

Business Transformation and Change Management

  1. Monitor transformation costs and benefits, aligning outcomes with investor and shareholder expectations.
  2. Collaborate with operational leaders to implement financial best practices and ensure seamless execution of business transformation initiatives.
  3. Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement for sustainable financial and operational excellence.

Your Profile

You will ideally have:

  • A formal accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/CA)·
  • Previous experience having led a large, complex & "raw" business through change & transformation
  • Prior experience in an interim / contract role would be beneficial but not necessary.
  • The rate of £800 to £900 per day represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
