Tax Manager - Summary:
- Our client is a global investment and asset management company specialized in energy and utility sector. They are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join the team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the company's tax compliance and tax planning/due diligence on new investment.
- This role requires a deep understanding of international tax, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Tax Manager - What You'll be Doing:
Tax Compliance:
- Overseeing the company’s compliance with local and international tax laws, regulations and treaties.
- Prepare and review tax documents and reports
- Prepare and review tax disclosures for financial statements.
Tax Planning and Due Diligence:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
- Conduct tax planning and due diligence for new investment.
- Advise senior management on the tax implications of business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Research and others:
- Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and relative cases, prepare tax research reports set by the management.
- Respond to internal and external queries about tax.
- Liaise with headquarter and teams in other regions to support development of the business.
- Other tasks set by the management.
Tax Manager - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin and English.
- Educated to degree level or higher in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- UK experience in tax management or consulting experience in large multinational corporations or consulting firms.
- Extensive knowledge of international tax policies, regulations, and compliance requirements, familiarity with UK and EU tax laws preferred.
- Highly skilled in drafting and preparing official documents.
- CTA certification preferred.
