Our client is a leading offshore law firm who have global network of nine international offices. Their specialist practice areas include banking and finance, corporate and M&A, investment funds and private equity, trusts and private wealth, dispute resolution, insolvency, and property law.

They are now looking for a Revenue Manager to join their London Office Initially the manager will create the Revenue Team from inception, define the processes and procedure. Then, ongoing management of this team along with continuous improvement to ensure a smooth working capital cycle for the firm. The Revenue Team will manage WIP, billing and collection.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop direct reports to ensure that all team objectives, billing deadlines and collection targets are achieved
  • Lead the billing and collection management software deployment and training
  • Develop key performance indicators to ensure objectives are met, and monitor team performance
  • Establish Service Level Agreements with the business
  • Establish a framework of governance to ensure accuracy of billing
  • Have an active role in the firm’s practice management system replacement project
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of all significant WIP and debt balances at Partner and office level, and to report on and analyse the effects as to the short and long-term financial goals of each office
  • Notify Partners regarding delinquent accounts and respond as directed. Offer sound advice on how to resolve such issues
  • Continually appraise existing systems and processes and lead on any change initiatives required
  • Play a key role in ensuring the firm is achieving its cash targets by managing and supporting the credit controllers
  • Play a key role in ensuring the firm is controlling its WIP and disbursements exposure by managing and supporting the revenue administrators
  • Ensure that all time and disbursement transfers and write-offs are performed in timely manner
  • Monitor missing timesheets and incorrect time recording behaviour and ensure that missing timesheets are promptly followed up
  • Play a key role in ensuring the firm is successfully meeting all billing deadlines
  • Manage the list of Ebilling clients and ensure the timely submission of invoices through the relevant Ebilling portals

Candidate Profile

  • Prior experience of 3E and EBilling (Elite Enterprise also an advantage)
  • 5 years plus revenue management experience in a law firm
  • Prior exposure to meeting with and dealing with Partners
  • Advanced knowledge of standard billing practices and procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Some system changes management experience desirable
