Senior Finance Manager

Senior Finance Manager- £80,000-£90,000 + 20% Bonus- London (Hybrid)- ACCA/CIMA/ACA- Hedge fund, Energy trading, Commodities, or Energy 

IN2 Consult is currently supporting a high growth business in London on the recruitment of a Senior Finance Manager to join their growing accounting function.

 This role is responsible for managing the month-end management accounting process, statutory reporting, and leading a team of five finance professionals. 

The successful candidate will act as a strategic business partner to key stakeholders, driving change and continuous process improvement. Ideal candidates will have experience in the hedge fund, energy trading, commodities, or energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly management reports, providing financial analysis and insights to drive decision-making.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of statutory financial reporting in compliance with IFRS 9 and other applicable regulations.

• Lead cross-functional projects to optimize financial processes and implement new systems or technologies.

• Partner with senior stakeholders to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 5 finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

• Collaborate with auditors, regulators, and external advisors to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.

• Identify opportunities for cost management, efficiency improvements, and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

• Proven experience in a Senior Finance Manager or similar role within a hedge fund, energy trading, commodities, or energy industry.

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS 9 and financial reporting.

• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing finance teams.

• Track record of driving process improvements and implementing operational efficiencies.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
