Senior Finance Manager

My client is a Local Authority in the Central London who are looking to appoint an Interim Senior Finance Manager.

About the role:

Based in London (Hybrid):

This role is to develop and manage the council's financial strategy and core financial services. Working with Strategic Directors and Business Managers to improve devolved financial management within the council.

What's on offer:

  • Salary: 461.15 - 642.43 per day, inside IR35.

  • Hours: 09:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  1. To manage the provision of an effective financial service within a service department or resources department.
  2. To be responsible for compiling and updating the medium term financial strategy for the council
  3. To ensure that sound financial management systems and procedures are in operation within their department or Resources department.
  4. To be responsible for managing and developing a team of staff

About you:
You will have the following experiences:

  • Progress towards or completion of chartered accountancy qualifications (CIMA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, or ICAS).
  • Knowledge of issues affecting Local Government finance and proposed changes in financial legislation and regulations.
