Your new companyThis exciting sports retailer is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join the team! This is a newly created role made to provide support to the impressive CFO and the wider finance team. This role needs someone who can adapt and redesign processes as required, and who can own the transactional/Management accounting piece. It's a very exciting role and will provide significant growth potential! The CFO has very exciting plans for the company, with new acquisitions and organic growth plans, he anticipates great growth within this role.
Your new roleAs this role is newly created, the role will be adaptable to what you are able to bring to the business. You'll be reporting into the CFO, responsibilities including:
- Taking ownership of the transactional/management accounting side
- Overseeing financial reporting, managing month-end processes and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial information to CFO
- Supporting budgeting & forecasting
- Financial analysis & commentary
- Assisting the CFO with implementing new processes & controls
- Providing support to the wider team, ad-hoc projects
- Supporting the current system implementation
- Assiting with audit process
What you'll need to succeedYou will need to be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with experience within a financial accounting/manager position looking for your next step up. You ideally will have experience within the retail/consumer sector, or similar, and be able to be adaptable within a fast-paced environment. You'll have experience managing month-end, as well as process improvement experience.
What you'll get in returnA competitive salary of £60,000 - £75,000. You'll join a company at a very exciting time with very ambitious growth plans through both acquisitions and organic growth & development. The CFO has plans for this role to grow with the company, with the end game being this role growing from Senior Finance Manager all the way to being the Finance Director of a listed company!
