A very impressive, large Independent Firm based on the outskirts of London Zone 1 are going through a period of growth and as such, are looking to add a Senior Manager to their team. The role has a defined route to Partnership for the right person who can demonstrate that they are capable of helping the firm with the next phase of their growth. The firm has an excellent mix of clients, ranging from corporate, through to not for profit, creative and FCA Regulated clients. The successful candidate will be given responsibility for their own client portfolio that will grow over time.

Responsibilities:

  • The role will be more weighted toward audit, around 60-70%, with the remaining 30-40% made up of other general practice work (accounts, tax etc.)
  • Managing a varied portfolio of clients
  • Managing staff, delegating and reviewing their work, carrying out appraisals
  • Providing training (structured and on the job) as and when required
  • Ensuring that the WIP is managed correctly, prioritising work where appropriate
  • Assist with any practice management duties as and where necessary - fee negotiation, billing etc.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a General Practice and managing a portfolio of clients worth in excess of £400k
  • Proven track record of managing and developing junior members of staff
  • Up to date knowledge on all relevant reporting standards
  • Any experience of working with group companies and international clients would be advantageous.
