Senior Tax Manager Job Vacancy?

We are delighted to be supporting a modern tax focused practice who champion 100% remote working and really nurture their staff, in their search for a skilled and experience 100% Remote Senior Tax Manager with specialist knowledge in all areas of employment tax.

This role will be 100% remote so will suit a candidate with a mature outlook who is able to motivate themselves and be disciplined with their time in exchange for an enhanced level of flexibility to work alongside commitments outside of work.

Despite the remote nature of its setup, this firm is proud to employ a cohesive and close-knit team who get together virtually almost every day and meet in a central location once a month to boost and nurture teamwork and collaboratively brainstorm and problem solve.

Serving a wide client base in the public sector, experience of providing employment tax compliance and advice support to industries within the public sector would be an advantage, but is by no means essential.

What are we looking for? You’ll be CTA and/or ACCA/ACA/CA qualified with several years' experience at a senior level in a tax team, managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met. Employment tax experience is necessary.

  • Ensure client assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team, utilising resource effectively to maximise client service
  • To provide both high level tax compliance and tax advisory services to clients
  • Research specialist employment tax issues as required and formulating solutions
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships, ensuring awareness of their requirements
  • Recognise and respond to clients’ business needs, providing quality employment tax advice on all aspects of assignments.
  • Support the Partners with provision of advice on entrepreneur’s relief, investment bond withdrawals, trust planning, capital gains, voting rights and landed estates.
  • Supporting the Partners on the commercial development of the firm.
  • In time, managing a team of tax accountants, overseeing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Empower the tax team through appropriate delegation and effective people management
  • Consistently seek internal improvement, presenting opportunities to senior leadership
  • Demonstrate commitment to the firms ongoing strategic direction, communicating and adapting to change
  • Successful engagement of new clients
  • Identify changes in Employment Tax legislation and how they affect clients and promote new advisory projects

  • Able to lead a team and project manage, including decision-making, time management and prioritisation
