This Local Authority is seeking a Strategic Finance Business Partner (Adults Social Care) to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial resilience, transparency, and efficiency in delivering vital services that support adults in need, whilst overseeing the directorate’s financial strategy and operational management.
The key duties of this Strategic Finance Business Partner (Adults Social Care) are:
- Ensure robust financial management, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for Adult Social Care.
- Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support transformation initiatives, service improvements, and cost efficiencies.
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior leaders, service managers, and councillors, ensuring financial considerations are central to decision-making.
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals to provide high-quality financial support and drive continuous improvement.
- Champion a culture of financial awareness and accountability across the Adult Social Care Directorate.
- Maintain financial compliance with relevant legislation and local authority policies, ensuring sound governance and risk management.
- Deputise for the Head of Finance, representing the finance team in key meetings and decision-making processes.

The successful candidate will have:
