Tax ManagerLondon£70,000 - £80,000 + bonus + benefits

A leading professional services firm, renowned for its expertise in complex, high-value transaction is seeking an experienced Tax Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of legal service delivery through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and process optimisation.

Key Responsibilities of the Tax Manager

  • Partner tax compliance - Oversee the preparation and submission of UK tax returns for partners and the firm, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
  • Tax payments & HMRC liaison - Manage tax payments to HMRC and act as the main point of contact for tax-related enquiries and investigations.
  • Technical guidance & updates - Provide partners with regular tax updates and expert advice on key issues affecting their tax obligations.
  • Global mobility & partner transitions - Advise secondees on UK tax requirements and guide new and retiring partners on tax matters.
  • Team leadership & development - Supervise junior tax team members, review their work, and support their professional growth.

Skills & Attributes of the Tax Manager

  • Qualifications & expertise - Qualified ACA / ACCA / ATT / CTA professional with 5+years’ partnership and personal tax experience.
  • Stakeholder communication - Strong ability to engage with partners and HMRC, simplifying complex tax issues for non-experts.
  • Analytical & organisational skills - Able to prioritise multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Technical knowledge - Deep understanding of tax regulations, compliance, and reporting, with a proactive approach to staying updated.
  • Attention to detail & IT proficiency - Meticulous in reviewing tax documents and comfortable working with Excel and other financial systems.
