Our client is a key Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI). They are seeking a Vice President for Participation and Credit Risk to join their London team. This role offers a truly global opportunity to apply economic analysis, statistical methods, strategic planning and risk management disciplines to the company's global foreign exchange settlement service. The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with the Executive Management Committee and other risk managers.
What you'll do:
As Vice President for Participation & Credit Risk, you will be responsible for monitoring market events, conducting macro risk assessments, contributing to research and development of internal metrics, engaging in pivotal projects, making recommendations on sovereigns and financial institutions, and analyzing economic dynamics. You will play a crucial role in managing country and financial institution risks exposures in the ecosystem. Your work will directly impact risk strategy, appetite, and growth plans.
- Monitor market and political events relating to sovereign and financial institution of direct service participants
- Conduct macro risk assessments of sovereign jurisdictions and financial institutions
- Contribute to the research and development of internal metrics that measure potential systemic risk
- Engage in pivotal projects relating to emerging growth prospects for the organization
- Make recommendations on sovereigns and financial institutions that merit additional attention due to inherent risks
- Follow and analyze economic and political dynamics in key developed and emerging market economies

As Vice President for Participation & Credit Risk, your extensive experience in banking institution market or credit risk model development will be invaluable. Your excellent understanding of financial markets risks and macroeconomic indicators will enable you to make informed decisions. Your exceptional writing and presentation skills will allow you to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Your strong organizational skills will ensure that tasks are completed efficiently.
- Master's degree in Statistics, Quantitative/Mathematical Finance, Economics or a related quantitative field
- 7+ years of professional experience in banking institution market or credit risk model development
- Excellent understanding of financial markets risks and macroeconomics indicators
- Exceptional writing and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work diligently with limited supervision
