The Role
As Back of House Manager you will be responsible for ensuring all BOH areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations. This role is essential to maintaining a safe and efficient environment that supports the operational needs of our venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Goods Receivers and Kitchen Porters
- Ensure all team members are inducted and have received site-specific health & safety training
- Collaborate with chefs and management to coordinate stock orders, maintain operational inventory, and conduct regular stock checks
- Address and oversee minor maintenance tasks
- Manage storage and logistics, ensuring all food products and suppliers are stored in compliance with safety regulations
- Ensure adequate stock levels of cleaning and chemical products
- Maintain strict adherence to health & safety regulations, ensuring all food handling, storage, and distribution certifications are current and compliant
- Oversee goods receiving procedures, verifying that all standards related to food safety, manual handling, and HACCP guidelines are met
- Conduct regular safety and cleanliness checks to ensure all BOH areas, including storage and delivery zones, are tidy, secure, and organised
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Conduct regular stock check audits and adjust inventory as needed to minimise waste and maintain sufficient supply levels

About You
- Previous experience in Back of House Management within hospitality, preferably within a multi-site hospitality venue
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Thorough understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, as well as inventory management processes
- Detail oriented, proactive, and committed to fostering a safe and efficient work environment
