Location: Newham

Hours Per Week: 36 hours

Rate of Pay: 24 P/H (Umbrella)

We are recruiting for a dedicated individual to join Newham's Assurance and Compliance Service team, providing high-quality income maximisation, arrears reduction, and support services to residents while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.

Main Duties:

  • Provide high-quality customer-focused services for income maximisation, arrears reduction, and repossession, ensuring compliance with Council policies, priorities, and relevant legislation.
  • Offer support and advice to residents in financial difficulty or facing vulnerabilities, including signposting to relevant support services.
  • Take appropriate recovery actions, including legal steps, when preventative measures fail to address arrears or debts.
  • Monitor rent accounts regularly to prevent and detect arrears, following the pre-action protocol and the Council's recovery procedures, while supporting safeguarding initiatives for children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

The Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role.
  • Relevant professional level certification/qualification.
