Teach360 is currently seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant secondary school's behavioural team. Ideally, the Behaviour mentor should have experience working with young people who exhibit challenging behaviour's.

About the role - Behaviour mentor -Hackney

This is a unique opportunity for a Behaviour Mentor to be able to work with students who have either Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Severe Mental Health needs. You are going to be a Behaviour Mentor who will show students how to be a positive role model in order for them to follow. This is such a rewarding job. To be successful with this position, an individual must be enthusiastic, passionate, and have a desire to support children with their specific needs. The importance of being an empathic and supportive Behaviour Mentor is crucial for the success of any program. Working with SEN, ASD, and/or SEMH children is a desirable skill, as is experience working with special needs children. There will be times when you will have to work at a fast pace when it comes to dealing with challenging behaviour situations with the children. Your role as a behaviour mentor will involve both being based in the classroom and working outside of it. In addition to providing support with a student's academic studies, you will also assist them with other needs outside the classroom such as personal needs. This can be done through interventions.

About the PRU- Behaviour Mentor - Hackney

This is an amazingly wonderful PRU that specialises in fostering the development of young people with special needs including SEN, ASD, and SEMH. In order to help support young people with complex needs, they are seeking a bubbly, fast-paced Behaviour Mentor that can help them become more independent. In order to be a successful Behaviour Mentor, you must have excellent Behaviour management skills. Since it is the ethos of this PRU to work together, you will fit right in as you will have staff around you to support you on your journey to graduation. In this PRU, lessons are taught in small groups in accordance with the national curriculum for students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. Supporting students' needs allows them to try integrating back into mainstream education.
