A mainstream secondary school in Chingford, E4 is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support students in managing their behaviour and engagement in learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Implementing strategies to help students manage emotions and improve focus in lessons.
- Supporting teachers in maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students to help them develop resilience.
- Working closely with pastoral staff and SENCO to implement behaviour plans.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working in a behaviour support role, particularly in a secondary school.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate situations effectively.
- A patient, firm, and understanding approach to working with young people.
- A background in youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, or psychology is beneficial.
