Are you a passionate and resilient Behaviour Mentor looking to make a meaningful impact on students' lives? We are seeking a dedicated individual to support children with behavioral, emotional, and social difficulties (BESD) in a school in Westminster.



About the Role:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support to manage their emotions and behaviors, ensuring they engage positively with their education. This role is ideal for someone with experience in mentoring, youth work, or supporting children with challenging behavior.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioral challenges

  • Implementing strategies to promote positive behavior and emotional regulation

  • Supporting students in the classroom and during unstructured times such as break and lunch

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff

  • Developing tailored interventions to improve students' engagement and well-being

  • Acting as a positive role model and building strong, trusting relationships with students



Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, or similar role

  • Strong understanding of behavior management strategies

  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one

  • Relevant training or qualifications in behavior support or safeguarding (desirable but not essential)
