Tradewind are currently recruiting experienced Cover Supervisors for a long-term, full time placement from March 2025 with a view to become permanent after completing a full academic year.
The successful candidate will have an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills and exceptional classroom control and behaviour management. It is essential that applicants have a proven track record managing a large group and must also be willing to work as part of a team. The client is looking for a minimum of at least 1 years' experience of cover supervising or a similar position.
The role includes supervising whole classes during the absence of the teacher, responding to questions, assisting pupils in undertaking set activities and maintaining order. Work is set for the class being covered. The cover supervisor must deal with any immediate problems or emergencies and manage behaviour by following the school's behaviour policy. The cover supervisor then reports back on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.
