A Global Insurer is looking to appoint a D&O Underwriter in their London team, who will also support in PI. The Underwriter will be expected in the office 3-4 days per week.

The main focus of the role will be the servicing and retention of renewal business, though there will also be some new business underwriting. This will entail:

  • Analysing risk from Broker submissions
  • Writing risks with a clear rationale, based on team underwriting strategy
  • Keeping systems up to date and well documented
  • Liaising with Brokers, Clients, Operations and Claims
  • Building and maintaining key Broker relationships
  • Supporting team Underwriters in D&O, FI, PI and Crime risks


Candidates from either an underwriting or broking background will be considered for this role provided they have knowledge in Directors and Officers insurance and/or Professional Indemnity.
