Data Admin Officer

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a Data Admin Officer for a secondary school for an imminent start(late January), initially for the remainder of the academic year but likely to go permanent after that.

The purpose of the Data Admin Officer role is to smartly drive and manage the whole school's data collection and reporting capabilities in order to provide added value insight to support the school's strategic goals and raise pupil attainment under the guidance of the Head Teacher, School Business Manager, Administration Manager and SLT.

The Data Manager role is also responsible for supporting staff in the use of SIMS, supporting the management of school examinations and to support on arranging cover when required

The School

The school is based in Waltham Forest, East London. This is a school with a "good" Ofsted, a dedicated team and is very popular locally.

The school is on a regular bus route and about a 15 minute walk from the nearest underground station.

The Role

To include, but not be limited to:

To overview and analyse all data in the school for student attainment and progress purposes, using SIMS.

Uploading data efficiently and accurately onto SIMS

Developing the school reporting and recording procedures

Support tracking and analysis for different departments on SIMS and helping departments to develop their own assessment and recording systems.

There will also be some exams work as part of the role, supporting the Exams Officer as well as overseeing the running of some exams. You may also be involved in the input of exams data to SIMS

You will also be receiving absence/sickness calls, recording on SIMS and communicating any absences to the senior leadership team (SLT)

The role is for 36 hours per week and working hours are from 7am - to 3.15pm The salary is likely to be £17-19 per hour.

Requirements/Experience:

To be considered for this role you must have experience in a school as a Data Officer/Manager and have a good understanding of SIMS. You should be self-driven, able to follow instructions and procedures and have good initiative.
