We’re delighted to be partnering with a leading Global Insurer to support the hire of a Delegated Authority Underwriting Oversight Manager in a newly created team. You’ll report to the Head of the function, working closely with them and the CUO.This is a pivotal role, where you'll oversee underwriting activities and ensure that all delegated authority business meets the company’s standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and monitor delegated underwriting activities across the value chain, including underwriting, pricing, and policy design.
  • Act as a bridge between the Underwriting and Product team and business units for MGA business, supporting underwriting data, policy wording, regulatory feedback, and strategic direction.
  • Assess and ensure adequacy of underwriting processes to balance operational risk and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews with business units, managing follow-up actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and outsourced parties to enhance underwriting oversight.
  • Support the efficient operation of all underwriting-related committees and working groups.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • You’ll have underwriting experience gained in UK markets, with a track record in portfolio management and a desire to move into an oversight position.
  • Understanding of delegated and MGA arrangements and their regulatory requirements.
  • A working knowledge of Power BI or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills to as you’ll be working with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
