Dispute Resolution Paralegal

Location: Waterloo

My client, a Legal 500 firm, has a vacancy for a Paralegal with a strong interest in civil and commercial litigation to join their highly sought-after Dispute Resolution department.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual.This role may lead to a training contract at a later date depending on performance.

The role

The role will be fast-paced, varied and will involve supporting and assisting a Partner within the department with all aspects of case preparation including: drafting, legal research, processing evidence, preparing, collating and ordering documentation, attending on clients, attending case conferences and court hearings, dealing with new enquiries, attending ongoing training to keep up to date with relevant legal developments, preparation of court bundles and other administrative tasks.

The role will involve work on a variety of civil and commercial disputes, and property litigation.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Experience working as a Paralegal in Dispute Resolution / Civil & Commercial Litigation would be highly desirable
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proven ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An ability to form a good working rapport with clients.
  • The highest standards of client care.
  • Flexibility in their approach to work.
  • Successful completion of BVC/LPC/SQE would be desirable
