We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Document Reviewer for our client, a well-respected organisation in the investigation and prosecution of serious and complex fraud, bribery, and corruption. As part of their dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring justice is served and maintaining confidence in the UK's business and financial institutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, and analyse complex and technical information related to ongoing cases.
  • Review a high volume of documents for both relevancy and disclosure, meeting targets.
  • Provide valuable feedback to the team based on your review and understanding of the case.
  • Utilise digital review systems and Excel software to review and describe digital material accurately.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accurately record large volumes of information.
  • Have a practical understanding of Excel to manage and analyse vast amounts of data.
  • Identify potential Legal Professional Privilege material and refer it to the appropriate team members.
  • Collaborate with the case team and take on any other specific tasks as required.

Required skills and experience:

  • A law degree obtained in England and Wales or a degree and law conversion course.
  • Comprehensive understanding of disclosure requirements, including the relevant CPIA legislation. If you have understanding of disclosure in civil law contexts, it is essential prior to interview to research the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex and technical information.
  • Previous experience in criminal law or exposure to financial crime prosecutions or similar investigations is desirable.
  • Familiarity with large document review exercises and digital document review platforms is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the structure and work of organisations in a similar field is beneficial.
